Original Commodore Amiga computers came with several PSU types – heavy or lightweight, rated between 24 W and 35 W. Some used classic transformers, others early switching designs. After more than 30 years, all of them share the same problem: aging components and declining reliability.

Today’s active and creative Amiga community uses more add-ons than ever – hard drives, SD adapters, Wi-Fi PCMCIA cards, RAM & CPU expansions, and accelerators. These upgrades greatly increase power demand, pushing original PSUs beyond their limits, causing overheating, ripple, and instability.
