Built by Amiga enthusiasts for enthusiasts, the Amiga PSU DUO is our advanced dual-output 55 W power supply for classic systems. Based on our proven single-output design (often imitated but never matched), DUO adds a second configurable output and enhanced 5 V protection with ripple & noise reduction for sensitive chips.

The 55 W combined power drives two parallel output channels, each capable of powering an Amiga 500 / 500+ / 600 / 1200 or CD32, or one Amiga plus an A590 HDD / A570 CD-ROM. A shared, precise 5 V adjustment (5.0–5.5 V measured unloaded) lets you calibrate the main rail at the computer to compensate for cable and switch voltage drop — perfect for upgraded and accelerated setups. Dial in a true 5.00 V at the board.

Power is allocated primarily to the 5 V rail (where Amigas actually draw current); 12 V and −12 V demand is typically marginal. Unlike some “55 W” units that count mostly 12 V capacity, DUO’s budget is tuned for real Amiga use. For fully independent, separately adjustable outputs see our Amiga DUO+ (65 W).

A durable, professional enclosure ensures ventilation, mechanical protection and electrical isolation. The trimming potentiometer is safely hidden and secured.

We’ve been listening to the community for years and building new, safe replacement PSUs for Commodore Amiga. Thanks to continuous feedback, the design keeps improving — the current DUO is our 4th revision, designed with retro-computing passion by active Amiga users.

The Amiga PSU DUO reflects real user input and field experience. We’re proud that our original design has become a community standard recognised worldwide.

Sadly, some sellers copy the look but not the engineering — marketing claims like “designed from scratch” won’t replace build quality, protection and testing. Please be cautious: we cannot take responsibility for the safety or performance of clones.

COMMODORE AMIGA DUO PSU — KEY SPECIFICATIONS

- Compatibility: A500 / A500+ / A600 / A1200 (rectangular 5-pin DIN) or CD32 / A590 (round 4-pin DIN)

- +5 V DC: stabilized, dual-protected; up to 8.0 A total (max 4 A per channel)

- +12 V DC: stabilized; up to 1.2 A total (max 0.6 A per channel)

- −12 V DC: stabilized; up to 0.15 A total

- 5 V adjustment: shared trim potentiometer (approx. 5.0–5.5 V unloaded) for exact calibration at the computer

- Protection: dual over-current protection (individual per channel), ripple & noise reduction on all rails

- Controls: durable main AC On/Off switch; front status LEDs (green 5 V, yellow 12 V, blue −12 V)

Adjustment: the trimmer is on the safe, low-voltage side; the screwdriver guide prevents internal shorts. For your safety and to protect the equipment, always use an insulated (ideally plastic) screwdriver. The rubber cap should cover the access hole during normal use to keep dust and liquids out.

Every Amiga PSU DUO is triple-tested before dispatch. To ensure long-term reliability we test with original Commodore hardware and perform burn-in with up to ~150% overload (relative to a stock A500) using custom load fixtures.
